Hi, I am Mozzy Man.

I’m a giant mosquito but I’m not like other mosquitoes. The difference? I don’t bite people!

I spend my days turning up in unexpected places, meeting people and encouraging them to get involved in the fight against malaria. My heroes are David Beckham and Andy Murray because they both support Malaria No More UK too. It’s not always easy. You see people often don’t like me because of malaria which some mosquitoes transmit when they bite people. In Africa malaria makes many people very sick, especially pregnant women and young children. I tried to tell other mosquitoes what the malaria they were passing on was doing to people but they just didn’t want to listen.

1,600 children die every day from malaria but it’s so simple to prevent – a bed net can help to protect two people from catching malaria. A £5 donation to Malaria No More UK is enough to buy, deliver and hang a mosquito net for a family in Africa, protecting two people from malaria.
